Before founding teamCFO with colleague, Carrie Hidding, Ms.  Yamanaka had over 8 years experience with PricewaterhouseCoopers and  Ernst & Young where she managed a diverse portfolio of clients and  provided services including audit, mergers & acquisitions,  litigation support, IPO and SEC projects and filings. Her extensive  private industry experience includes tenures with GE Capital, Zenith  Insurance, Quaker State Corporation and the Heritage Insurance Group  where she served in various financial and operational capacities  including Vice President-Controller, Vice President-Finance, Vice  President-Operations and Manager of Quality Processes.

Ms. Yamanaka is a past president of the Los Angeles Chapter of NAWBO.  A long-time champion of financial literacy for  women business owners, Ms. Yamanaka has lectured on the subject to  diverse audiences including young girls who are aspiring business  women. Ms. Yamanaka has been featured in Los Angeles Business Journal and a Los Angeles Times article, “Nurturing Female Entrepreneurs.”
