Best Practice: Capitalize on Store Materials for a Consistent Look and Feel
Chapter: All
Goal: To brand NAWBO at the chapter level with easily customizable materials.
Implementation:
Branding an organization is no simple task: The materials must be eye-catching and beautiful, yet functional and easy to use. When NAWBO launched its latest branding effort, it was also imperative that the materials be capitalized on the chapter level, which meant they had to be easy to customize and reasonably priced. These materials are now available at the NAWBO store. Here’s how your chapter can use them to spread the word about NAWBO.
Events:
Start your chapter events out right with NAWBO’s branded invitations. Then, continue the branding by providing folders for take-away materials. Leave brochures at the back of the room for potential members and follow up with attendees by sending a note on your chapter note cards.
Sponsorships:
Reach out to sponsors with a NAWBO brochure package. You’ll see a greater response if you localize the package with a branded insert about your chapter’s events and networking opportunities for members. Include your president’s business card and follow up after the package is sent with a personal phone call and later a note on your chapter note cards.
Chapter Leadership:
Announce new chapter leaders and establish their presence in your community by sending out branded announcements to your chapter mailing list. Reach out to local publications by sending press releases about new leaders on customized chapter letterhead. You might also consider placing a NAWBO advertisement to reach out to potential members. Give your chapter leaders business cards to distribute during their interactions with potential members and sponsors.
Women’s Business Conference:
Entice members to attend this year’s WBC by purchasing conference inserts and envelopes for a mailing to your member body. Better yet, personally invite them with branded invitations and a custom vellum insert. Also, consider forwarding NAWBO national’s monthly WBC e-mail teasers to a greater network of women business owners, and adding a link to your chapter’s Web site that takes visitors to the WBC home page. Inform leaders and media in your community of members attending the conference by sending a letter or press release on custom letterhead—these members will come back with a wealth of knowledge to share.
